Ooh Ooh V6

Ooh Ooh V6 – The Ooh Face Drone!

The Ooh Ooh V6 is a foldable GPS drone manufactured by MJX. It has a 4K camera and some impressive features. The 180-degree camera is a something that you won’t find on just any old drone. Let’s learn more about this drone.

Ooh Ooh V6

The Ooh Ooh V6 is a fairly typical toy/hobby-grade drone in the $200ish price range. It features a camera that can take 4K pictures and 2.7K video. The camera on this drone is unique because it can rotate a full 180 degrees, much like the Parrot Anafi. Unlike the Parrot Anafi there is no stabilization for this camera so videos will have some shake and wobble. It is reasonably powerful and fun to fly. The GPS and optical flow sensors help to make this a stable drone, good for a beginner.

The Ooh Ooh V6 has a maximum flight time of 23 minutes. Our testing put it in at around 19 minutes or so. You’ll get one battery unless you opt for the double battery package. The maximum control range is 600 meters, but the FPV, or video feed will be limited to your WiFi connection on your phone. That will be more like 300-400 meters max. You’ll need an AC protocol or “5G” WiFi phone to connect.

The Ooh Ooh V6 is about 540 grams, so you’ll have to register it with the FAA in the US. You’ll get the typical GPS and flight modes like return to home, orbit and waypoints. The app is user friendly and MJX does a nice job of putting it all together. All in all, this is a good beginner drone. I’d probably recommend the MJX Bugs 20 over this drone as the video footage is stabilized and looks much better. We received the Ooh Ooh V6 from MJX as a prerelease model. It is likely to be rebranded and sold on Amazon under various names, similar to the Bugs 3.
