MJX Bugs 9: An Entry into FPV Flight

MJX has been busy building brushless model drones. The Bugs 3 was an awesome drone and they are following that up with slightly different twists to it. They’ve created a Bugs 6, Bugs 8 and Bugs 9. The thing is they are all basically the exact same thing, an entry level FPV race quad. And a good one at that.

The Bugs 6/8/9 is smaller and more compact than the 3. It doesn’t have the independent ESCs and cannot fly on 3S batteries.

The Bugs 9 is solid and well-built and is well suited for the beginner FPV pilot. The 5.8gHz camera is adjustable and sends a good signal to the included monitor. The smaller 1300mAh 2S battery sends power to the brushless motors via a 4-in-1 ESC.

The monitor attaches nicely to the transmitter or can be put into MJX’s goggles for a full FPV experience. Since the FPV signal is 5.8 GHz it will also work with other FPV goggles or headsets like FatSharks.

The MJX Bugs 9 is quick and fun to fly. It can be flown in high or low mode and will perform flips with the push of a button. The LEDs on the drone are very bright and do a good job of helping pilots orient the drone or follow it in lower light situations.

Overall the Bugs 9 is a fun drone and a good starter for someone looking to get into FPV flight. The brushless motors insure that you get a fun and fast flyer.
