The URUAV UR65 is a small and affordable brushless motor tiny whoop. This tiny micro quad has a 65 mm wheelbase and only weighs 27 grams including its 1S battery. It is powered by 17,000 KV brushless motors. Is it a serious upgrade over the hoards of brushed motor tiny whoops like the Inductrix and E011?

Spoiler alert, I love this thing. It is a blast to fly around the house and you can fly this bad boy both angle and acro mode. It has survived numerous crashes. The downside is short flight time but you can easily fix that by purchasing more batteries. Keep reading to learn more. Would I recommend this over a brushed whoop? Yes.

brushed vs brushless drone
Take a look at the brushless UR65 and brushed Boldclash B03.

The URUAV UR65 is built on the CrazyBeeF3 flight controller. You can get it as either a Frsky or Flysky compatible version. The ESCs are a 4-in-1 BLheli_S that is DShot 600 ready. It ships with Betaflight 3.3 for full customization. The 0603 17,000KV motors are what make this little guy a winner. No, you aren’t going to win freestyle competitions with it, but it makes it one heck of a whoop.

The camera has a 700 TVL resolution and the video transmitter has a 25 mW power output via 48 channels. The field of view is a solid 120-degrees and the video format is NTSC. Thankfully the camera angle is adjustable, but only about 30 degrees or so.

The battery is a standard LiPo. It is a 1S 250 mAh 3.8 volt rated at 60C. It adds an additional 6.5 grams to the weight of the quad. You can order up to three with the quad and we highly recommend picking up extras as this will chew through the batteries pretty quickly.

The URUAV UR65 is a fun FPV drone for a beginner.

The URUAV UR65 does have OSD support and will send telemetry information.  You can even adjust PIDs using the OSD. Unfortunately, there isn’t a beeper, but that is to keep the weight down. Since it is brushless however we can use the ESCs as a beeper by changing some settings.

Should You Get a URUAV UR65?

In short, yes. It is a blast to fly. You can fly it indoors and out. Living in a cold weather climate having a drone like this is a must. If you don’t have a remote I’d highly recommend the Jumper T8SG Plus. It will work with the UR65 and almost any other drone. Grab some FPV goggles and you are ready to go.

What Is the BEST Drone?

So what is the absolute best drone out there? That question isn’t as easy to answer as you’d think. BUT…for most people the answer is the DJI Mavic Air. It is portable, has an awesome camera and excellent flight modes. Learn more about the Mavic Air HERE.

What Is Our FAVORITE Drone?

The Mavic Air is great but the drone that has us excited to go fly the most right now is the Parrot Anafi. The camera and gimbal setup on this drone allow it to do things that no other drone can. Plus, having the ability to zoom in on what you are filming is priceless. Learn more about the Parrot Anafi HERE.

What Drone Is the Best VALUE?

Mavic Air vs DJI Spark
The DJI Spark is an awesome drone and at $399 is half the price of the Mavic Air.
