GoolRC G90 Pro Brushless FPV Micro Quad

The GoolRC G90 Pro is a 90 mm brushless micro FPV quad. It looks a lot like the popular KingKong 90GT, but actually has a couple of improvements. Right now you can save an extra $7 if you order from TomTop with the code: LQPG90RC

The G90 Pro features a F3 flight controller with a 4-in-1 12 amp ESC. It has built-in OSD and a beeper. Those are two things many good micros lack. The camera is a 720 x 540 NTSC/ 640 x 480 PAL with a 48 channel 25 mW VTX.

GoolRC G90 Pro Specs

The GoolRC G90 Pro gets its power from four 1104-8000KV motors that spin 1935 four-blade propellers. That should provide plenty of thrust for this small quadcopter. It does ship with a 2S 450 mAh Lipo.

The GoolRC quadcopter is a fun brushless micro like the KingKong 90GT or the DYS Elf.

You can get the GoolRC G90 Pro as a plug-and-play version or you can opt for the FrSky or Flysky version and bind it to the remote of your choice.

GoolRC G90 Pro Room For Improvement

The motors seem to have quite a bit of power and that is great, but the carbon fiber frame is a little thin. I don’t think it can handle too much of a crash. Speaking of crashes I managed to crash this thing a couple of times. The first was due to failsafe being triggered because I lost reception. I’m not exactly sure why as the drone was only about 30 meters away. The second crash was my fault and one of the propeller guards shattered. I brought it in to remove the guards and realized I didn’t have shorter screws to put it back together. So I grabbed a wire cutter and snipped off the prop guards. Now I have a lack of power going to the flight controller. I’ll be troubleshooting this issue shortly. Maybe I got a dud, we’ll see.

Should You Get a GoolRC G90?

The GoolRC G90 Pro checks in at 71 grams and is immediately a solid option for anyone that likes to fly brushless micro FPV quads. It has been well reviewed, so hopefully, I just got an unlucky bad egg.
