Eachine E010s -Basic whoopin’ fun

With winter here that means it is tiny whoop season. If you are looking for a low cost and stable indoor flyer then you’ll want to take a look at the E010s. Like the original E010, it has a ducted frame but it gets an upgraded F3 flight controller, RaceStar motors and an 800 TVL FPV camera.

The E010s is a simple machine and that is a big part of its charm. It won’t fly well outdoors but it wasn’t built to. This is an indoor flyer. The E010s is a super stable flyer and is an excellent choice for anyone looking to fly FPV around the house.

Upgrade your tiny whoops

The camera is good and the motors do a nice job of keeping the drone stable in flight. I swapped the four blade props out for some tri-blades for a bit more punch and control. It is only 20 grams without the battery so the super lightweight frame makes up for the lack of power. This is the easiest upgrade to make for almost any whoop style quad. Order your tri-blades here.

Personally, I would have liked to see 7mm motors instead of RaceStar 6mm but these will get the job done indoors. I’m also not a huge fan of the egg-beater shaped antenna sticking out the top of the VTX. A whip antenna will survive crashes and bumps around the house much better.

The F3 flight controller is running an old version of Cleanflight, so you’ll have to upgrade the firmware on the drone if you want to use Betaflight. Personally, I’d just set it up using an old version of Cleanflight. For an indoor quad like this, it isn’t really worth the hassle. If you don’t know how to do that watch this video.

For $50 this bind and fly whoop is a solid deal. If you want an indoor beast, this is not your machine. But if you want something fun and easy to fly then give this one a try. Pick one up from Banggood here.

What Is Our FAVORITE Drone?

The Mavic Air is great but the drone that has us excited to go fly the most right now is the Parrot Anafi. The camera and gimbal setup on this drone allow it to do things that no other drone can. Plus, having the ability to zoom in on what you are filming is priceless. Learn more about the Parrot Anafi HERE.
